Small groups provide an environment in which students are able to better identify and eliminate problems. These groups typically consist of between four and ten students and run for 4-6 weeks. Facilitated by the school counselor and/or other supportive service workers within the school, these groups have a common topic or focus that all of the students in the group are going through at that given time.
Parents, teachers, principals, and other school staff can refer students to me for a counseling group. Topics may include: anger management, friendship skills, grief and loss, self-esteem, social skills, or any other subject material that may benefit students.
